Training Program Developer IV

Position Summary

Analyze the organization’s current training needs by conducting surveys, interviews, and performance reviews to identify areas for improvement. Work closely with HR leadership and business units to evaluate and identify skill gaps, performance issues and ensure training programs are targeted and impactful. Conduct surveys, interviews, and performance reviews to evaluate the current training needs of the organization. Design and develop comprehensive training materials, including presentations, handouts, e-learning modules, and job aids, based on the identified training needs. Ensure content is up-to-date and aligned with organizational goals, policies, and compliance requirements. Facilitate engaging training sessions for new hires (onboarding), existing employees, and managers on a range of topics such as company policies, RHS values, and performance management. Lead both in-person and virtual training sessions, utilizing a variety of delivery methods to suit different learning styles. Employ different teaching strategies such as classroom lectures, hands-on exercises, role-playing, simulations, and digital platforms to ensure maximum engagement, accessibility and knowledge retention. Tailor delivery methods to meet all the learning styles of employees and create a positive and welcome learning environment. Evaluate and assess the effectiveness of training programs through post-training evaluations, surveys, and employee performance metrics. Gather feedback from participants and provide recommendations for improvements or adjustments. Provide feedback to HR leadership on program outcomes, making recommendations for future improvements. Work closely with HR managers, business leaders, and other stakeholders to ensure training programs are aligned with organizational goals, strategic priorities, and HR objectives and address any evolving gaps or challenges. Offer subject matter expertise and collaborate with HR team members to address emerging training needs.  Hybrid, remote work schedule that includes on-site work and remote work.   

All positions in RHS are designated as critical status. In the event of a university closure, modification, or suspension of operations due to snow or other emergency conditions, you will be expected to make all reasonable attempts to report to work as scheduled for the duration of the closure/suspension. Minimum Requirements

Knowledge equivalent to that which normally would be acquired by completing a four-year college degree program in Educational Systems development, Instructional Technology Systems, Instructional Science or a related educational programs development area, and/or a field which corresponds to training and development; five to eight years of related and progressively more responsible or expansive work experience in the design, development and presentation of instructional programs using software or tools related to the operational activities of the employing unit; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Requires work experience in training and development.

Desired Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or a related field; relevant experience in HR functions, including training and development, with a proven track record of designing and delivering training programs in higher education; Certified Professional in Human Resources (PHR) or other HR certifications preferred.
