In a clinical-like setting (in-person or online), facilitates simulation learning activities similar to what learners would encounter in actual clinical settings. Healthcare providers working in simulation interact with healthcare professional students by facilitating learning activities using simulation methods/equipment, providing feedback on skills, debriefing with and/or assessing using specific measurement tools. Work hours are variable and on an on-call basis. Job Duties
Utilize task trainers and simulation manikins for clinical skills training and assessment Simulate all aspects of scenarios, including team communication, clinical skills, and patient care in a standardized, accurate, and reliable manner Provide feedback and/or facilitate learner debriefings Demonstrate flexibility and reliability with scheduling and assignments Follow written and verbal instructions for specific learning activities Work in a professional manner when interacting with learners, faculty, supervisors and peers Accurately and consistently complete checklists Accept ongoing feedback from simulation educators and/or center administrators Complete required university and departmental trainings in timely manner Maintains confidentiality and integrity of information related to cases, student behaviors and feedback evaluations. Proficiently utilizes technologies such as email, internet, and web conferencing software (e.g. Zoom) Other duties as assigned.
