Position Summary
The Research Associate will contribute to a multidisciplinary program with two primary objectives. The first objective is to conduct a comparative analysis of Holstein and Jersey cattle. The research aims to identify traits unique to the Jersey breed, assess their advantages and disadvantages relative to Holstein, and develop an industrialization model for Jersey cows in Korea informed by best practice cases from the United States.
The second objective focuses on data-driven approaches in agricultural sciences. The Research Associate will collect and analyze hyperspectral imaging data and develop Artificial Intelligence (AI) prediction models for agricultural production traits. This will involve the integration of AI imaging methods with phenomics to generate predictive tools and insights that enhance the understanding and management of agricultural production systems.
