The Department of Mathematics at Michigan State University invites applications for Fixed- Term Departmental Postdoctoral Research Associates (Postdocs) and Fixed-Term Research Associates with a starting date of Fall 2025.
Postdoctoral Research Associates (Postdocs) comprise the department Postdoctoral Fellows program. Postdoctoral Fellows contribute to the research and instructional mission of our unit. These are academic year appointed positions.
Fixed-Term Research Associates support the research activities of currently funded external research grants, as outlined in the grants statement of work and budget. These positions are either academic or annual year appointments.
All positions are benefits eligible and potentially renewable on an annual basis through Spring 2028, contingent upon satisfactory performance and availability of funding. Candidates will be evaluated on their potential in research and teaching.

Doctorate -Mathematics or related field

Research Associates will be paired with faculty mentors with whom they have compatible research interests and will engage in our active instructional mentoring program.

It is helpful if the cover letter indicates if the applicant wishes to be considered by specific MSU faculty.
