Position Summary

The Academic Program Coordinator is responsible for coordinating and managing the operational functions of the Department of Integrative Biology's academic programs, with a primary focus on graduate program administration. The role oversees and integrates core program activities, including admissions, appointments, student records, compliance monitoring, and instructional coordination, ensuring effective and efficient program delivery. This position serves as a central point of coordination across faculty leadership, administrative offices, and students, providing operational oversight, ensuring policy compliance, and driving process improvements that support program goals and enhance service outcomes. Working with a moderate level of independence, the position provides administrative and operational support to the Graduate Director, Graduate Affairs Committee, Business Manager, and Undergraduate Director, ensuring timely execution of program activities. 

Minimum Requirements

Knowledge equivalent to that which normally would be acquired through the first two or three years of college, such as an Associate's degree in business, education, higher education, psychology, business or a related field which corresponds to the area of employment; one to three years of related and progressively more responsible or expansive work experience in university/college/academic admissions or related administrative position; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Desired Qualifications

Prior experience supporting academic or graduate programs in a university setting. Familiarity with Graduate School systems, academic databases, student information systems, and academic processes. Experience with process improvement, workflow coordination, or operational reporting.
