The Small Fruit and Hop Pathology Laboratory at Michigan State University is seeking a highly motivated Research Associate to join our team. The successful candidate will contribute to research on fungicide resistance and gene expression analysis in fungal pathogens affecting small fruit and hop crops. Key Responsibilities will include:
1) Conduct molecular studies to investigate mechanisms of fungicide resistance in fungal pathogens
2) perform gene expression analysis to understand pathogen biology and host-pathogen interactions
3) utilize bioinformatic tools to analyze genomic and transcriptomic data
4) prepare research findings for publication in peer-reviewed journals and present results at scientific conferences and 5) collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of researchers and assist in mentoring graduate and undergraduate students.
