Position Summary(Basic Job Function)

This is a temporary or an on-call position. Provides professional support. Responsibilities may include general business, science, medical, agricultural or other professional support functions. Term: Temps can work two (2) nine (9) month terms with a week break in service in between and at the end of the second term terminate for three (3) months or switch to an on-call. On-Call allowed to work 1039 hours in any twelve (12) month period.

Unit Position Summary

Behavior Analyst

Supervise applied behavior analysis (ABA) programming for children ages 2-5 with autism spectrum disorders (ASD). Manage a caseload of 7-9 children within a classroom-like experience. When inclusive settings are available, work with interdisciplinary team of professionals supporting children with ASD in inclusive settings.

The position responsibilities include: comprehensive behavioral assessment, developing and overseeing behavior analytic programming for children with ASD, participation in family training and care coordination, providing training to behavioral technicians and university students, and potential for supervising applied behavior analysis certificate students in practicum settings.

  • 35-40 hours per week
  • Work in an exciting natural training environment with children ages 2-5, with a diagnosis of Autism
  • Supervise and support behavior technicians in one-to-one, small group, large group, and when available, inclusive settings
  • Administer therapeutic behavioral supports in inclusive setting as needed

Maintain confidentiality as outlined by HIPPA of all children, families, and staff 

Desired Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • An earned Masters in Special Education, Applied Behavior Analysis, or Psychology
  • Licensed Behavior Analyst in Michigan; Board Certified Behavior Analyst
  • 2+ years working with children with ASD
  • Experience developing, administering, and training others to administer behavioral programs for young children with ASD
  • Experience collaborating with service providers from a variety of backgrounds
  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Experience supervising individuals seeking a BCBA or BCaBA credential
  • Commitment to working with cross-disciplinary research teams
  • Ability to pass a state and federal background check

Summary of Physical Demands

Employee will need to be able to lift a child of up to 45 pounds.  Employee will also need to be able to respond in cases where a child's safety may be at risk.
