Position Summary

  • Provide perspective in collaboration with the faculty for determining appropriate new directions for professional workshops and courses, especially those focused on engagement with stakeholders.
  • Work with faculty to develop new professional (online) workshops and courses on a wide variety of forestry subjects, designed to enhance and broaden existing offerings.
  • Deliver online (non-credit) courses with a preference toward asynchronous, self-paced study, allowing for professionals to work around their schedules and locations.
  • Provide service to the department via occasional guest presentations, seminars, student career development talks, committee work, etc.

Required Degree

Doctorate -Forestry or related natural resources discipline

Minimum Requirements

Earned PhD in Forestry or related natural resources discipline, at least three years of experience in the forestry industry, demonstrated ability to teach professional courses/workshops, and relevant connections with forestry and/or natural resources stakeholders.
