Unit Position Summary

The Center for Anti-Counterfeiting and Product Protection (A-CAPP) at Michigan State University is the world’s leading academic center focused on brand protection and anti-counterfeiting taking a multidisciplinary approach to research, education, and outreach—bridging the gap between academia and industry.

The A-CAPP Center works with a global network of over 500 organizations, including multinational brands, law enforcement, government agencies, investigators, nonprofits, and e-commerce platforms in a fast-paced, hybrid environment, balancing academic rigor with the responsiveness. As a largely self-sustaining center, the success of its communications and outreach directly supports its continued growth and impact. In this role, this position would:

  • Integrate communications and marketing efforts with the Center’s annual calendar of activities, including certificate programs, research releases, outreach events, media engagements, and more.

  • Outreach Materials:
Design and distribute digital and print materials to support the Center’s education, outreach, and research initiatives. This includes promotional flyers, newsletters, infographics, and event collateral.

  • Assist in translating complex research findings into accessible formats for industry, academic, and public audiences. Support the creation of summaries, briefs, and visual content.

  • Collaboration & Coordination:
Work closely with internal team members and external partners—including industry stakeholders, media contacts, and academic collaborators—to support communications goals and ensure alignment across projects
