Technical Aide

Position Summary(Basic Job Function)

This is a temporary or an on-call position. Provides technical support. Responsibilities may include computer programming or operations; research support; medical patient care; technical equipment maintenance, repair, fabrication or operation; or other technical support functions.

Unit Position Summary

Duties consist of supporting the laboratory manager and graduate students in the Soil Health and Ecosystem Ecology Lab at Michigan State University. Tasks will include preparing soil and plant samples for analysis, which includes sieving, weighing, and grinding samples. Other tasks include cleaning glassware and data entry. The successful candidate will also assist with field work during the growing season and perform statical analyses for projects and manuscripts.
