This is a temporary or an on-call position. Provides technical support. Responsibilities may include computer programming or operations; research support; medical patient care; technical equipment maintenance, repair, fabrication or operation; or other technical support functions.

Unit Position Summary

Lab Assistant - Kellogg Biological Station (Hickory Corners, MI)

The successful applicant will work alongside members of the Kozakiewicz Lab to conduct field work and collect both environmental and specimen data. Hours will be irregular and require time for travel between sites. Field work duties include snake trapping, capturing, and handling, photographing snakes, snake swabbing, species identification, habitat assessment, and tool disinfection. This work will be conducted in various dry and semi-aquatic habitats, and will involve walking for long periods through sometimes dense vegetation. Training will be provided. Field wear such as boots and waders will be provided if needed.
