Position Summary(Basic Job Function)

This is a temporary or an on-call position. Provides technical support. Responsibilities may include computer programming or operations; research support; medical patient care; technical equipment maintenance, repair, fabrication or operation; or other technical support functions.

Unit Position Summary

The MSU College of Music Recording Services office employs a staff of audio engineers to assist with recording student recitals, sessions, and ensemble concerts throughout the academic year.  We capture and edit using ProTools, utilizing standard stereo micing techniques.  Hours are based on demand with each concert being a minimum 2 hour call.  Nights and weekend availability is a must,

Desired Qualifications

Two to three years experience in using ProTools or related DAW and setting up and using classical recording microphone techniquest.
