Support Staff
This is a temporary or an on-call position. Provides technical support. Responsibilities may include computer programming or operations; research support; medical patient care; technical equipment maintenance, repair, fabrication or operation; or other technical support functions.
Research assistants will be expected to work 8-12 hours per week during academic semesters, with the possibility for up to full-time work (30-40 hours/week) in the summer. Research assistants begin with primarily technical responsibilities and will be trained to run an independent research project. Applicants need not have prior research experience, but are expected to exhibit academic curiosity, independence, and effective communication with the laboratory team. Hourly rate to begin at $14/hour, with flexible scheduling to accommodate coursework and other commitments. Applicants should submit interest in writing to ducatdan@msu.edu, attaching a resume or CV.
