Professional Aide

Unit Position Summary

Primary duties and responsibilities: 

• Perform statistical and quantitative analysis using statistical software
• Writing, formatting, and editing reports and works for dissemination.
• Assist with data collection and organization of research datasets for specialization
• Participate in research meetings and provide project support as needed

Required Qualifications or Skills:

• Advanced analytic skills conducting analysis of quasi-experimental studies, including using methods such as Difference-in-Differences and Regression Discontinuity Designs. 
• Advanced knowledge of school choice policies
• Experience working with administrative data
• Experience working with school district data administrators
• Advanced experience with at least one statistical package (e.g. R, Stata, or Python) is required, with a preference for Stata.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to synthesize multiple sources.
• Masters degree required
• PhD Student in a social science discipline (e.g., economics, public policy, social policy)
