Position Summary(Basic Job Function)

This is a temporary or an on-call position. Provides professional support. Responsibilities may include general business, science, medical, agricultural or other professional support functions. Term: Temps can work two (2) nine (9) month terms with a week break in service in between and at the end of the second term terminate for three (3) months or switch to an on-call. On-Call allowed to work 1039 hours in any twelve (12) month period.

Unit Position Summary

Position duties include but not limited to:
Prepare and process HR documents
Prepare, monitor, and reconcile departmental budgets (operating, CDL, CFTC, research, grants, endowments)
Generate and interpret monthly financial reports
Oversee internal and external financial accounts and controls
Ensure departmental spending aligns with university, state, and federal regulations
Approve and oversee purchases, travel reimbursements, and procurement card use
Authorize expenditures within designated limits
Provide post-award grant oversight for the Child Development Lab (CDL)
Coordinate with pre-award staff and principal investigators (PIs) for fund allocation and expense tracking Manage job postings, interview candidates, and make hiring recommendations to department leadership
Onboarding new employees
Interpret and enforce university policies and procedures
Maintain HR and financial records

Desired Qualifications

Experience with the management of multiple budgets related to sub-units within a department.
Experience in long-range strategic planning.
Knowledge of the university budget process, policies, and regulations. Knowledge of university policies andprocedures related to fiscal and
human resource operations.
Knowledge of academic and non-academic hiring procedures.
Experience with EBS software for financial and HR systems including PageUp, SAP and Business Intelligence
