Professional Aide

Position Summary(Basic Job Function)

This is a temporary or an on-call position. Provides professional support. Responsibilities may include general business, science, medical, agricultural or other professional support functions. Term: Temps can work two (2) nine (9) month terms with a week break in service in between and at the end of the second term terminate for three (3) months or switch to an on-call. On-Call allowed to work 1039 hours in any twelve (12) month period.

Unit Position Summary

Collaborate with the project leader to assess grower/user needs and align them with product development goals; Identify and prioritize product features based on user research, stakeholder feedback, and market demand; Work closely with the software development team to ensure timelines, tasks, and technical goals are aligned; Set and track development priorities using tolls like JIRA, Notion, and Coda.io; Facilitate sprint planning, progress check-ins, and communication across design, science, engineering, and outreach teams; Support early product testing and iteration based on pilot user feedback; and Contribute to the development of business models that support long-term product sustainability.

Desired Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or equivalent training/experience in a relevant field (information management, business, IT, etc.); Project management experience; familiarity with product development lifecycle is a plus; Experience setting business or development priorities based on market and user insights; Strong organizational and coordination skills across technical and non-technical teams; Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills; Understanding of digital product development and software tools; Familiarity with the agriculture industry or agricultural technology is a plus, put not required; and Comfort with startup environments: collaborative, fast-paced, iterative.
