Position Summary(Basic Job Function)

This is a temporary or an on-call position. Provides professional support. Responsibilities may include general business, science, medical, agricultural or other professional support functions. Term: Temps can work two (2) nine (9) month terms with a week break in service in between and at the end of the second term terminate for three (3) months or switch to an on-call. On-Call allowed to work 1039 hours in any twelve (12) month period.

Unit Position Summary

The MSU Entomology Department seeks qualified applicants for On-Call positions. Duties will include following established protocols to oversee and set-up laboratory and/or field operations, assists in planning and designing experiments, conducting experiments, and analyzing resulting data in order to participate in conducting research projects. Background in Entomology is desired but must be willing to learn basic insect identification and handling techniques. Must comply with laboratory andfield safety regulations and procedures. Duties will also include effective communication with team members. The position may require drivingauniversity owned vehicle; a valid Vehicle Operators License is required.

Desired Qualifications

Ability to work outdoors in adverse conditions for long periods of time. Good communication skills are highly desirable. Organized and punctual
