Position Summary(Basic Job Function)

This a temporary or on-call position. Provides a wide variety of consulting services including conference, seminar or workshop design/presentation; operations review and analysis; project design, completion, coordination or management; or related consulting services. Consultants paid on grant funds must be paid on an hourly or daily basis, with a minimum wage of $12.00 per hour. Term: Temps can work two (2) nine (9) month terms with a week break in service in between at the end of the second term terminate for three (3) months or switch to an on-call. On-Call allowed to work 1039 hours in any twelve (12) month period.

Unit Position Summary

The A-CAPP Center is seeking an experienced individual to work on its non-credit professional educational courses that make up its Professional Certificate in Brand Protection.  The certificate will be relaunched with 18 courses on March 21.  Duties would include both guided and independent work to finalize draft course content into the Articulate E-Learning Software. Specifically, the individual will work with A-CAPP staff, subject matter experts, other consultants, stakeholders, etc. to:

  • Synthesize edits to draft content from written and verbal communications 
  • Perform copy editing services on draft course content
  • Upload content into the Articulate web-based software (including text, images, worksheets, links and other materials), including following formatting guidelines and making appropriate decisions on how text should be displayed for adult learning purposes
  • Review final content in Articulate for accuracy and user testing
  • May perform other work similar to the above as assigned. 

individual will primarily work remotely between normal business hours 8a-5p Monday-Friday and will need to attend primarily virtual project meetings, with a few in-person meetings occasionally. There may be some flexibility outside of the normal business hours/days. Applicants should describe any flexibility needed in their cover letter.

Rate of pay will range from $25-$35 an hour based on experience level.

Desired Qualifications

  • Prior experience working to develop and finalize online non-credit professional courses or continuing education courses
  • Prior experience working with the Articulate e-learning software
  • Prior copy-editing experience
  • Ability to work both collaboratively and independently and under short deadlines
  • Detail oriented, target-focused professional
