Camp/Conference Aide

Position Summary(Basic Job Function)

This is a temporary or on-call position. Performs a variety of duties in support of summer camps and conferences, such as responding to participant concerns, questions and emergencies; maintaining/monitoring camp rules, checking in/out of participants, attending meetings. May involve overnight supervision of participants. Term: Temps can work two (2) nine (9) month terms with a week break in service in between and at the end of the second term terminate for three (3) months or switch to an on-call. On-Call allowed to work 1039 hours in any twelve (12) month period.

Unit Position Summary

Employee will be working part time (~10 hours) for the DAPCEP (Detroit Area Pre-College Engineering Program) engineering summer camp, hosted by Broadening Participation K12 office. This program runs for 1 week in June, Mon-Fri.

Desired Qualifications

Proactively solve problems and manage projects that arise during the mentoring period. Take responsibility for the well-being of mentees, ensuring a safe and supportive learning environment. Facilitate the learning experience for all mentees, ensuring they gain valuable insights from the program.
