Professor of Practice in Game Art and Design

Position Summary

Maintain expertise in the domain of game art, concept design, and illustration to contribute to the Games and Interactive Media Design curriculum and the innovative Media Sandbox initiative. Teach Concept Design, 3D Graphic Design, and other specialized art and design courses (4 courses per semester in fall and spring). Participate in the work of the Games for Entertainment and Learning (GEL) Lab and contribute to ongoing creative projects and department life.

Required Degree

Bachelors -painting, media design, or a closely related art/design field

Minimum Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in painting, media design, or a closely related art/design field + 2 years of experience teaching artistic and life drawing and experience shipping at least one AAA quality game.
