Position Summary

The responsibilities of the Office Assistant III include coordinating and providing administrative support for the Experiential Learning programs, including Study Abroad, Study Away, and Internships. This includes managing phone calls, assisting with inquiries in person, handling emails, tracking application progress, organizing documents and files, maintaining databases and records, scheduling courses and appointments, prioritizing requests, preparing reports, handling office forms, making travel arrangements, processing expense reports and disbursement vouchers, scheduling meetings and events, ordering catering, and participating in college events such as Commencement and Colloquium.

 

Unit Specific Education/Experience/Skills

Knowledge normally acquired through a high school education; three to five years of related and progressively more responsible or expansive work experience in word processing, spreadsheet, database and/or desktop publishing software; presentation software; typing and filing; maintaining accounting ledgers; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Desired Qualifications

Experience working in student affairs or Higher Education. Demonstrated ability to handle multiple tasks, details, and prioritize work to meet deadlines; demonstrated excellence in communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills, and ability to interact with varied constituents in a timely, courteous, and professional manner.
