Position Summary(Basic Job Function)

This is a temporary or an on-call position. Provides professional support. Responsibilities may include general business, science, medical, agricultural or other professional support functions. Term: Temps can work two (2) nine (9) month terms with a week break in service in between and at the end of the second term terminate for three (3) months or switch to an on-call. On-Call allowed to work 1039 hours in any twelve (12) month period.

Unit Position Summary

This position will work with unfixed tissues and other biohazards and take all necessary trainings involved in working in a laboratory setting.  This position requires lifting and moving associated with space renovations and working with many different types of research equipment.  There are 8 main research cores with daily tasks associated with each core.  Additionally, there is website work and various other computer centered tasks. 

Assisting other department cores is also a potential for this position determined by the candidates’ experience.

This position will be needed for a minimum of 20 hours per week with potential for up to 40 hours per week. 

Desired Qualifications

The candidate for this position must exhibit willingness to learn new tasks.  A strong science background with animal experience is desired.
