Position Summary

Applications are invited for a Post-Doctoral (Research Associate) position available in the Space Health and Community (SHAC) laboratory of Dr. Amber L. Pearson. The Lab is located in the Charles Stewart Mott Department of Public Health at Michigan State University. This position is a three-year appointment.

The SHAC lab is currently initiating a NIH-funded five-year study to examine the effects of historical structural racism on neighborhood conditions, with cascading effects on modern day child development. The post-doc Research Associate will contribute to numerous aspects of the project, including data processing, compilation, visualization, analysis, manuscript writing, and interpretation and dissemination of results.

Candidates must have experience in health research and spatial data analysis, the use of computational, statistical, and data scientific approaches for interdisciplinary research, and data integration involving both spatial and non-spatial data.
