Postdoctoral Researcher
This position involves work on numerous challenges at the intersection of unsupervised deep learning, low-dimensional modeling, computational imaging, and theory. The position will work on multiple problems in these domains, to develop mathematical and algorithmic foundations for deep unsupervised learning for imaging with improved efficiency and guaranteed correctness, by leveraging modern tools from areas such as high-dimensional geometry, harmonic analysis, and numerical optimization. Newly developed algorithms are expected to be tested and demonstrated on medical and scientific imaging and computer vision applications. This position will work collaboratively with multi-institutional teams including with Prof. Saiprasad Ravishankar and Prof. Rongrong Wang at Michigan State University, and Prof. Qing Qu at the University of Michigan, to achieve breakthroughs on key problems. This position will have affiliation with both institutions.

Doctorate -Electrical & Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Biomedical Engineering, Applied Mathematics or related fields
Candidates must have a strong background in machine learning and optimization as well as some of the above areas and should be highly motivated to perform rigorous scientific research both independently and collaboratively and have a strong vision for leadership in research. Candidates must have (or expect to have by start date) a PhD degree in Electrical & Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Biomedical Engineering, Applied Mathematics, or related fields.
