Position Summary

The School of Planning, Design & Construction (SPDC) at Michigan State University (MSU) invites applications for an Assistant Instructor/Instructor(s) to teach in the Graduate Certificate Program (GCP) Real Estate Development and Construction Certificate (REDC) with an expected start date of 1/1/2025. Class taught by the instructor is PDC859 - Construction Management and Real Estate Case Studies (Spring Semester). This is a part-time position. The full-time equivalent percentage may vary depending on the candidate's experience, education, and the number of credits.

Position is planned to recur every Spring Semester

Required Degree

Masters -Construction Management, Real Estate, Business, Architecture or related field

Minimum Requirements

Applicants are required to have a Bachelor's degree for the Assistant Instructor rank and a Master's degree for the Instructor rank; degrees should be in Construction Management, Real Estate, Business, Architecture or related field. Minimum 2 years of professional experience in real estate, construction, design or related field are required.

Desired Qualifications

Teaching experience in Real Estate or Construction Management courses is preferred.

The School of Planning, Design, and Construction unites four academic programs related to the built environment: Construction Management, Interior Design, Landscape Architecture, and Urban and Regional Planning, with 45 faculty and academic specialists, and 8 staff members. The School offers 8 degree pathways from Bachelors to Ph.D.; including 5 professionally accredited degrees with over 600 undergraduate and 60 graduate students. The School is jointly administered by the Colleges of Agriculture & Natural Resources and Social Science.
