Practice Manager

Position Summary

The Practice Manager provides effective leadership and accountability for all operations of one or more clinic locations to include excellence in patient-focused clinical care, human resources, information systems, quality assurance, and financial management. The Practice Manger is responsible for business operations, personnel management, and oversight of the daily operations of the practice(s).

Unit Specific Education/Experience/Skills

Knowledge equivalent to that which normally would be acquired by completing a four-year college degree program in a business-related field or in a field which corresponds to the particular department of employment; five to eight years of related and progressively more responsible or expansive work experience in office procedures and administration, or in performing responsibilities related to the operational activities of the employing unit; experience in a supervisory role; experience with word processing, database, spreadsheet, presentation software and/or desktop publishing, web page software; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Summary of Health Risks

Exposure to human blood, serum, and other body fluids; and materials covered under Universal Precautions; TB risk or work within three (3) feet of patients in a health care setting; wear a respirator.
