Position Summary
The Department of Entomology invites applications of qualified fixed term instructors for this pool posting to teach one or more undergraduate courses in entomology to non‐major and early career college students. Positions may be for one or more semesters and will be filled per course/per semester on an as needed basis. While most courses are a full semester, some courses are scheduled for less than a full semester. Positions could be part-time or full-time and it is possible that no positions are needed in some semesters. Courses may be in-person or online, as defined by the department. Applicants in this pool are reviewed when the program has immediate need to fill a vacancy within two years. Positions may begin as early as January 2024.
Responsibilities include:
- develop and teach courses in-person and/or online
- hold in-person and/or online office hours
- effectively use the MSU class management platform, D2L

Required Degree
Masters -Entomology or related field
Minimum Requirements
Experience teaching college level course content in a professional setting. Demonstrated expertise in the class topic that will be taught.
Desired Qualifications
Experience teaching biology or entomology. Experience in development and assessment of learning outcomes.
