Unit Position Summary

Field Technician, Seasonal - (Savannah River Site Corridor Experiment, South Carolina).

We are hiring a temporary field technician for research on plant-pollinator interactions at the Savannah River Site Corridor Experiment in South Carolina. The goal of the research is to understand how habitat fragmentation affects plant-pollinator networks. Primary technician duties will include visual observations of plant-pollinator interactions, floral surveys, assistance with insect preservation and data entry, and working with other project collaborators. Position will begin early July and last for 3 months, with start and end dates somewhat flexible. The technicians will work at the Savannah River Site and live in a town near the site (Aiken or New Ellenton, SC, or Augusta, GA). Housing is not provided, but we can assist in identifying housing arrangements. Because the Savannah River Site is a highly secure area run by the U.S. Department of Energy, non-United States citizens may have difficulty gaining clearance to work there.
