Position Summary(Basic Job Function)

This is a temporary or an on-call position. Provides professional support. Responsibilities may include general business, science, medical, agricultural or other professional support functions. Term: Temps can work two (2) nine (9) month terms with a week break in service in between and at the end of the second term terminate for three (3) months or switch to an on-call. On-Call allowed to work 1039 hours in any twelve (12) month period.

Unit Position Summary

The Chen Lab at the College of Nursing is seeking applications for two to four research aides to assist with research activities. The positions start immediately with a length of employment up to 12 months with the possibility of extension, dependent on performance and grant funding.

Responsibilities: Assist project staff with research activities.

Duties may include but will not be limited to:

  • Recruit participants
  • Schedule appointments with participants
  • Data collection
  • Implement tech-based interventions
  • Plan and prepare research events
  • Disseminate findings

Employment Environment: Hybrid (online and work with project participants at clinical sites in East Lansing area of Michigan).  

Pay Range: $14 - $20/hour depending on the duties, experience, and qualification.

Working hours: Average amount of hours per week will be 10-19 and will typically be between the hours of 8 AM – 5 PM, Monday through Friday. Occasional nights and weekends might be warranted, depending on the needs of the grant/assignment assigned.
