This is a temporary or an on-call position. Provides technical support. Responsibilities may include computer programming or operations; research support; medical patient care; technical equipment maintenance, repair, fabrication or operation; or other technical support functions.
WKAR Public Media is seeking a passionate and skilled Production Technician to join our award-winning creative team. This is a fantastic opportunity to work with a dynamic group of producers and editors on the planning and oversight of all aspects of the day-to-day production and presentation of WKAR programming in studio and on location.
The successful applicant will have excellent Audio & Video skills including the ability to shoot/edit content for multiple distribution platforms, utilize and maintain equipment, and general set-up and troubleshooting of studio and EFP systems; lighting skills; and knowledge of rigging/grip techniques and practices with an emphasis on safety. Applicants must possess a valid driver’s license and be willing to work night and weekends based on production schedules.
• Experience in public media as defined by the Corporation of Public Broadcasting
• Knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud software
• Excellent communication skills; can represent ideas & concepts effectively
