Position Summary(Basic Job Function)

This is a temporary or an on-call position. Provides technical support. Responsibilities may include computer programming or operations; research support; medical patient care; technical equipment maintenance, repair, fabrication or operation; or other technical support functions.

Unit Position Summary

WKAR Public Media is seeking a passionate and skilled Multimedia Producer to join our award-winning
creative team. As a Multimedia Producer, you will be responsible for conceptualizing, creating, and delivering engaging multimedia content across WKAR’s various distribution platforms. From video production to graphic design and beyond, you will play a key role in bringing diverse voices and stories to life through captivating visuals and compelling storytelling.

The successful applicant will have excellent communication and storytelling skills. Collaborating with WKAR
staff and students, you will develop multimedia content aligned with WKAR’s mission to inspire, educate,
and inform our audiences. Key emphasis will be on serving current audiences while identifying and
producing content that helps WKAR capture new audiences. This position must stay up to date on current
industry trends, therefore optimizing content for audiences utilizing various distribution platforms.

 

Desired Qualifications

• Experience in public media as defined by the Corporation of Public Broadcasting
•. Knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud software
• Excellent communication skills; can represent ideas & concepts effectively
