Licensed Vet Tech/Nurse-Anesthesia (FT2)
Provides patient care for ill and injured animals in the Large Animal Anesthesia Department of the Veterinary Medical Center. The Large Animal Anesthesia Department work’s with a variety of large animal species including equine, porcine, caprine, ovine and more. This position will utilize LVTs or LVN’s for their technical abilities and knowledge acquired through school. Some job responsibilities include techniques related to performing anesthesia (IVC placement, Intubation, Monitoring, Medication Injection, and Recovery). Along with pre & post operative patient care on a variety of species while instructing and demonstrating these techniques to students. This position will also maintain supplies, equipment, and cleanliness of the large animal anesthesia office and prep hospital areas.

This is a full-time 2nd shift (7pm-7am) position, working three 12-hour consecutive WEEKEND days with overtime, if necessary. There is a shift differential for this position.
