Support Staff
The Career Services Network serves students of all majors and levels across Michigan State University. Specifically, this role will advance student success through developing relationships with campus partners, student organizations and employers, to create and deliver programming and advising designed to advance career exploration and professional development.
Characteristic Duties and Responsibilities

May provide first-level supervision over regular employees and second-level supervision over student employees.
Knowledge equivalent to that which normally would be acquired by completing a Master's degree, and one to three years of related and progressively more responsible or expansive work experience to the college labor market, developing college student success, and recruiting trends specific to specialized populations for entry-level talent or knowledge equivalent to that which normally would be acquired by completing a Bachelor’s degree, and three to five years of related and progressively more responsible or expansive work experience work experience related to the college labor market, developing college student success, and recruiting trends specific to specialized populations for entry-level talent; public speaking; writing and editing for mass distribution; use of internet, word processing, spreadsheet, database, and presentation software; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Preference given to individuals who have strong relationship management, project management, problem-solving, communications and teamwork skills; previous experience or knowledge working within human resources, career services, or employer relations roles; experience working directly with specialized student populations at the university level in a career advising role or other career-related setting; experience working with employers; ability to be flexible, learn quickly, desire and ability to build collaborative partnerships with key stakeholders including students, employers, alumni, and MSU faculty and staff.
