Assistant Professor-Tenure System

Position Summary

The Department of Accounting and Information Systems in the Broad College of Business at Michigan State University invites applications for multiple full-time tenure track positions at the level of Assistant Professor. The focus is on candidates with a research emphasis in archival financial accounting topics, but we welcome candidates from other areas to apply. Candidates must hold a Ph.D. in Accounting or related field as of June 1, 2027. We are interested in candidates who produce research of excellent quality that will have a high impact on the field. The primary responsibilities for each position include research, teaching, and engaging in service activities for the academic discipline, department, college, and university. Candidates must have the ability to teach successfully in undergraduate and graduate programs. We are looking for candidates who can contribute to the thought leadership and excellence of our current group of accounting and information systems faculty.

Please note that this is a union position represented by the Union of Tenure System Faculty (UTSF). The university is working with the union to establish a collective bargaining agreement.
