Position Summary(Basic Job Function)

This is a temporary or an on-call position. Provides professional support. Responsibilities may include general business, science, medical, agricultural or other professional support functions. Term: Temps can work two (2) nine (9) month terms with a week break in service in between and at the end of the second term terminate for three (3) months or switch to an on-call. On-Call allowed to work 1039 hours in any twelve (12) month period.

Unit Position Summary

The Department of Supply Chain Management seeks a Digital Marketing Manager for a new program that is launching for the fall 2024 semester. 

This individual will plan, develop, and execute all paid and organic digital marketing endeavors, including key phrase research, SEO/SEM, marketing database, social media, and email advertising campaigns for the new graduate certificate program. Develops strategies for promoting the program as well as standard KPIs and goals. Conducts competitive research in order to measure and report the performance of all digital marketing campaigns and assesses against goals (ROI and KPIs). Creates and executes digital campaigns which could include paid search, display, retargeting, IP targeting, and paid social media advertising. Develops and edits content for digital promotional materials. Negotiates and places advertising with a wide variety of media advertising sources. Manages third party contractors for creative needs. Prepares and submits ads on schedule. Works with the Supply Chain Management program team and Broad MarComm to align and maximize outcomes.

Evaluates emerging technologies. Identifies trends and insights and optimizes spend and performance based on the insights. Brainstorms new and creative growth strategies.

Unit Specific Education/Experience/Skills

Knowledge equivalent to that which normally would be acquired by completing a four-year college degree program in Journalism, Telecommunications, Public Relations, or Marketing; one to three years of related and progressively more responsible or expansive work experience in public and media relations, composing, editing and publication production, news, broadcasting, and print media, and/or marketing, advertising, and creative services; graphic design; word processing; desktop publishing; web design; presentation; spreadsheet and/or database software; public presentation; or radio production; or computer programming/technology; experience managing content for social media channels; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Pay is is commensurate with experience. Position is for a fixed term of 9 months. 

Desired Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in marketing or a related field.

 

5+ years of related work experience in Digital Marketing.

 

Proficient in graphic design; word processing; desktop publishing; web design; presentation; spreadsheet and/or database software; public presentation; or radio production; or computer programming/technology.

 

Experience managing content for social media channels.

 

Strong analytical, writing, verbal, and visual communication skills required.

 

Proficient in Social media management systems, i.e., Sprinklr, Facebook Business Manager, Instagram for business,

LinkedIn and other social media platforms; Google Ad products and campaigns.

 

Proficient Adobe programs, video editing software, and content management systems.

 

Proficient in dashboard creation and maintenance using tools such as lookerstudio or Power BI

 

Experience with creating and managing email marketing campaigns using CRM systems such as Slate

 

Experience with building lead gen optimized landing pages using programs such as Unbounce
