Vet Med Education Project Admin
Position Summary
The Vet Education Project Administrator position will work with faculty and other University clients, as well as team members to facilitate, develop, coordinate, implement, and evaluate evaluate continuous improvement projects associated with veterinary curricula at Michigan State University.
Provide support for the curriculum, continuous improvement efforts, recommendations, and organizational improvements in accordance to unit strategy. Coordinate meetings, resources, equipment and information to identify and define course goals, scope and objectives for a curriculum of moderate to large size, budget, staff and/or complexity. Work with CVM faculty and course team members to consult, develop, and maintain the DVM curriculum. You will support college faculty and administrators in the continued development and institution of curricular improvements based on stakeholder feedback, desired learning outcomes, and assessment outcomes. For this position, you should enjoy learning new skills, solving problems, working with diverse teams, groups, and individuals, and have a passion for faculty and curriculum support.
Responsibilities include:
- Assists in refining course goals, objectives, and plans;
- Coordinates and implements educational programs and technologies;
- Serves as a liaison to administrators, faculty, staff and third party/vendors in the coordination and implementation of the DVM curriculum;
- Track and analyze course performance, objectives, and educational materials and report any risks, overflows, and deficits;
- Interpretation and dissemination of course/student information and data and analyze information to make decisions and recommend courses of action;
- Work with course management on resource planning, availability and allocation to curriculum’s objective;
- Evaluates instructional programs; prepares reports; and designs presentations;
- Develop and maintain relationships with course teams;
- Assists in the development of and teaches short courses on the uses, development, and evaluation of multimedia interactive instruction and/or other educational programs;
- Serves on select and/or project-specific committees on behalf of the department; coordinates and chairs meetings related to specific programs/technologies.
Unit Specific Education/Experience/Skills
Knowledge equivalent to that which would normally be acquired in a four year college degree; three to five years of related and progressively more expansive work experience in a field related to the position including planning and managing projects; communications content management (written, verbal, digital) experience with word processing, database, spreadsheet, presentation, calendaring software, desktop publishing and/or project management software; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
