Position Summary

The Department of Family and Community Medicine in the College of Osteopathic Medicine is seeking an Assistant Professor of Health Programs for a 12 month fixed-term faculty position, with the intention of renewal after this initial period.  Our clinic is located in the MSU Clinical Center, where our physicians provide primary care to our community, while also teaching and precepting our medical students.  We do not cover hospital in-patient care.

MSU is the only university in the country with four on-campus medical schools, graduating osteopathic and allopathic physicians as well as nurses and veterinarians.  In May, 2022, the University will also have a PA school.

The faculty and staff of MSUCOM Department of Family and Community Medicine are part of collaborative health care delivery system that has earned an exemplary reputation for caring for children, adults, and the geriatric population to meet all of their healthcare needs.  FCM also has a partnership with McLaren Health System seeing patients and precepting residents at their Residency Clinic as well as in our on-campus Family Medicine clinic.

When not providing direct patient care, our physicians work with the greater College and University community, including serving on various committees, teaching responsibilities for both medical students and residents, quality improvement practices and research.

Minimum Requirements

The candidate must possess a DO or MD degree and must be board certified or eligible in Family Medicine
