Position Summary
Major Position Responsibilties
- Support planning and timely realization of scientific instrumentation projects and upgrades
- Provide effective interface management between scientific instrumentation, beam delivery, and supporting system
- Oversee and support the integration of new instruments or modifications of existing devices
- Oversee and coordinate installation and maintenance activities across different experimental areas
- Interface with accelerator systems and conventional facilities system owners to maintain integration across functional areas
- Guide and support integrated procedure development for the operation of scientific instrumentation and associated technical systems.
- Deliver assigned scope, cost and schedule within approved baselines
- Maintain Experimental Systems Division interface control documentation
- Ensure system compliance with Environment, Safety and Health (ES&H) and QA requirements

Required Degree
Doctorate -Physics or related field
Minimum Requirements
- Advanced degree in science with at least ten years of experience in managing technical projects and development of complex scientific equipment or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Proven success in managing projects and integration for complex first-of-a-kind equipment
- Demonstrated ability to communicate with stake holders and team members
- Ability to work with export controlled technologies
Desired Qualifications
- Prior experience in scientific instrumentation development projects
- Knowledge of DOE environment for facility operation
