Position Summary

The Department of Accounting and Information Systems in the Eli Broad College of Business is seeking applications for a fixed term faculty member with responsibilities in teaching undergraduate students. The primary teaching responsibility will be for an information technology management systems analysis and design course, taken by undergraduate students as part of an IT Minor program. Additional duties include student advising. This is a nine-month appointment. A doctorate degree is preferred, but a Master's degree or Bachelor’s degree with significant experience in the desired area of expertise may be considered for a 20-21 part time position. The ideal candidate will have a demonstrated record of excellent teaching skills to a diverse student body and/or significant work experience and relevant professional certifications in the area of systems analysis and design. There are no research requirements for this position. The position will start August 16, 2020. Renewal may be possible based on department teaching needs, funding, and performance. Salary and terms are negotiable depending on experience and rank.

Minimum Requirements

The position of Assistant Instructor requires a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university along with significant experience in the desired area of expertise and relevant professional certifications. The position of Instructor requires a master’s degree from an accredited university along with significant experience in the desired area of expertise and relevant professional certifications. The position of assistant/associate/full professor requires a Ph.D. and a demonstrated record of excellent teaching skills to a diverse study body.

Desired Qualifications
