Coordinate and oversee administrative functions for hiring, on-boarding, annual review, training/education, reporting, and termination of staff and students including required processes, work flow, approvals, orientation, building and systems access. Maintain orientation and training documentation, organizational charts, and applicable department listings. Maintain process, supporting documents, checklists, calendar and reminders for managers and staff in support of MSU IT and institutional requirements. Organize departmental reports. Identify ways to improve operational efficiency, provide process improvement recommendations within designated area of responsibility. Maintain internal and external financial accounts and related business records. Greets and screens visitors, customers, and other university stakeholders. Maintain employee confidentiality throughout appropriate business processes and uses discretion when communicating sensitive information. DMSU Information Technology provides the primary leadership for strategic, financial, and policy initiatives affecting information technology (IT) across MSU. MSU IT offers technology resources that support MSUs mission of providing education, conducting research, and advancing engagement.

Unit Specific Education/Experience/Skills
Knowledge equivalent to that which normally would be acquired in the first two or three years in college, technical school or a related field; six months to one year of related and progressively more responsible or expansive work experience in customer service or in performing tasks related to the area of employment; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Knowledge of MSU Financial; Procurement & HR applications; experience with report writing tools; demonstrated proficiency in MS Office Products; business planning/process improvement/process mapping experience; ability to interact with, problem solve & facilitate resolution of customers and team needs & expectations; ability to work effectively with others; ability to seek continuous improvement; ability to value and consider the perspectives and backgrounds of all parties; support and uphold the values of the organization.
