The Department of Radiology and Institute for Quantitative Health Science and Engineering (IQ) at Michigan State University is seeking an Assistant Professor-Fixed Term to direct the Preclinical Imaging Center. This position will assist in the creation of an imaging service center that will accommodate experiments across the MSU research community.
The successful applicant will be expected to:
-Oversee the day-to-day operations of the preclinical imaging center, including science and finance
-Organize and coordinate billing for the imaging center
-Innovate new methods for preclinical PET/MRI
-Collaborate with faculty to tackle imaging related problems
-Train undergraduate and graduate students, postdocs and faculty in the use of preclinical imaging instrumentation
This position is a 12-month fixed term appointment. Renewal of position is based on funding and performance.
Doctorate -Biomedical Engineering or Medical Scienc
PhD or equivalent degree in Biomedical Engineering or Medical Science
Significant experience with preclinical imaging systems, particularly PET/MRI systems; significant experience in handling small animals for biomedical imaging; experience managing imaging facilities or laboratories.
