This position will provide support for Planning, Design and Construction (PDC) office within Infrastructure Planning and Facilities. This position will support about 28 professional staff members as well as customer support for PDC customers, vendors, contractors, and consultants. Provides outstanding customer service;managing various request including work orders in FAMIS and Unifier; running various reports and entering and updating budgets in FAMIS and Unifier as needed. Serve as procurement card purchaser for equipment and materials on capital projects particularly supporting Interior Design Activities. Support the Consumers Energy Incentive program. Supporting Design Team staff with meeting coordination, project assistance, project communications, project service request, schedule updates, and travel support. Develop and maintain Design Team metrics.

Unit Specific Education/Experience/Skills
Knowledge equivalent to that which normally would be acquired in the first two or three years in college, technical school or related field; six months to one year of related and progressively more responsible or expansive work experience in customer service or in performing tasks related to the area of employment; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Prior work experience with a planning, design, or construction team and work flow documentation is preferred.
A creative and innovative lifelong learner with the ability to communicate effectively with a diverse population; able to problem solve within a collaborative team environment; ability to understand different perspectives while utilizing expert knowledge of the technical operations of the job.
