Digital Accessibility Analyst
Supports MSU IT to improve accessibility and inclusion across the enterprise. Evaluates digital products for accessibility so that staff understand the impacts of purchasing, software, and services on persons with disabilities. This role will be responsible for providing accessibility evaluations of IT products and services, and accessibility training to engineers, developers, and other IT staff.
MSU Information Technology provides the primary leadership for strategic, financial, and policy initiatives affecting information technology (IT) across MSU. MSU IT offers technology resources that support MSU’s mission of providing education, conducting research, and advancing engagement.

Unit Specific Education/Experience/Skills
Knowledge equivalent to that which normally would be acquired by completing a four-year college degree; one to three years of related and progressively more responsible or expansive work experience technology analysis and web development with participation in digital accessibility auditing and evaluation against WCAG standards; experience testing and auditing digital goods using a range of accessibility software and assistive technologies including but not limited to JAWS, NVDA, VoiceOver, WAVE, and Adobe Acrobat Pro DC; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Working understanding of federal and state laws and regulations regarding the ADA, digital accessibility, and the real-world implications of them. IAAP certification (CPACC, WAS). Excellent communication skills, including written, verbal and presentation. Demonstrates functional understanding of the accessibility tree, Aria code and other coding standards that produce well-built accessible web content and applications. Experience providing mentoring and coaching of students.
