Position Summary

This position supports the work of the Health Equity Research Workgroup, led by Dr. Debra Furr-Holden, C.S. Mott Endowed Professor of Public Health. Responsibilities include:
• Prepare, clean, and join existing public health data sets
• Use multilevel modeling, and other statistical modeling techniques to analyze data
• Create appropriate and insightful tables, graphics, and summaries
• Communicate results clearly in statistical reports and in community products

This position reports to the Senior Research Program Manager and is located at the College of Human Medicine's Flint Campus in Flint, Michigan.

Unit Specific Education/Experience/Skills

Knowledge equivalent to that which normally would be acquired by completing a four-year college degree program in Business, Economics, Research Methodology, Statistics or Mathematics with relevant course work in computer programming; three to five years of related and progressively more responsible or expansive work experience in programming, statistical methods, data base management or data collection; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Desired Qualifications

Experience working within a university setting; ideal candidates will possess 2+ years experience using R (preferred), SAS, or equivalent statistical programming language.
