Position Summary
Beam Physicist (East Lansing, MI) Conceptual development, implementation, and operation of advanced instrumentation systems, research/development on advanced instrumentation systems. Ensure approved experiments with the reaccelerator (ReA) facility are successful. Prepare requirements for the beam delivered by ReA and verify that they are within ReA specifications for that beam line. Qualified candidates will possess a Ph.D. in Physics or related + 2 years’ exp in related position in particle and beam physics. Must have exp in particle detectors and experimental devices, data acquisition and data analysis, and computer coding in python, C++ or equivalent.
