, under the direction of Dr. Mona Hanna-Attisha, seeks to hire a Flint Registry Data Analyst for the Flint Registry (https://www.flintregistry.org/)
project. A Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC)-designated public health authority, the Flint Registry’s goal is to connect people who were impacted by the Flint Water Crisis to resources and programs that serve to minimize the effects of lead on their health while promoting wellness and recovery.
The data analyst will support data and informatics activities at the Flint Registry. Activities include extracting, cleaning, and analyzing data as well as creating reports and de-duplicating Registry records.
Considering the time-limited nature of this grant-funded position and the implementation focus/push of the next year, we are seeking a person who requires minimal training to perform the above tasks and has immediate availability.

This is a full-time, 9-month end-dated position.
Description of Duties
- Extract, compile and manipulate data from data base systems in order to produce reports to fulfill special requests
- Input, edit, and verify files, data and job runs
- Create tables, calculate figures and generate graphs in order to produce reports
- Conducts quality control on survey, referral, and external data
- Analyze data to support on-going implementation activities
- Utilize de-duplication software and processes to clean data
- Prepare and clean data sets using SPSS or similar data software tools
- Additional Duties as Assigned
Unit Specific Education/Experience/Skills
Knowledge equivalent to that which normally would be acquired by completing a four-year college degree program in Business , Statistics or Mathematics with relevant course work in computer programming; one to three years of related and progressively more responsible or expansive work experience in programming, database management or data collection; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Experience with managing data sets using SPSS and/or SAS
Experience with REDCap
Experience with Epic or other Electronic Health Record Systems
Experience preparing reports, and
Experience presenting analytical findings to leadership.
