The FRIB/NSCL Laboratory is seeking a highly qualified individual for a Postdoctoral Research Assistantship in nuclear theory, with a specialization in nuclear density functional theory and its applications to nuclear properties. The successful applicant will be expected to work on large-scale studies of rare isotopes and super heavy nuclei, including ground-state properties, fission, and fusion. Applicants should have previous experience with formal and computational aspects of density functional theory and parallel computing. The appointment will initially be for one year with the possibility of renewal up to three years, depending on performance and the availability of funds.

Doctorate -nuclear theory
Ph.D. in nuclear theory and the ability to work with export controlled technologies
Previous experience with formal and computational aspects of density functional theory and high-performance computing.
