Position Summary

The Department of Political Science invites outstanding candidates from political science to apply to an Assistant Instructor-Fixed Term position.  Responsibilities and duties include helping in assisting and teaching PLS 202 for Fall 2019 semester.

This course introduces computational tools to analyze various types of social science data structures.  The applicant must be able to know how to work with textual, spatial, and network data using the R language for statistical computing.  Applicant must also be proficient in a variety of data analytic tools ranging from scraping data from the web to building web-based applications. 

The position begins on August 16, 2019 on an AN appointment for Fall semester 2019.  (ending December 31, 2019).

Required Degree


Minimum Requirements

Applicant must have a BA in Political Science/History/Statistics with some experience in spatial analysis, network analysis and building web-based applications.
