Michigan State University is hiring a fixed-term position at the level of Assistant Instructor to teach Public Relations Strategy in Europe, a summer education abroad program taking place in June/July. Public Relations Strategy in Europe is an experience in which students travel to several key European locations to take full advantage of international experts and multicultural make-up of professionals in European cities. The program will begin in Paris, France, where artists, poets and musicians have flourished for centuries. It will continue on to the world-famous Cannes Lions International Creativity Festival on the French Riviera in Cannes, France, for amazing networking opportunities with professionals in the field of advertising and public relations from around the world. Next will be Barcelona, Spain, home to a vibrant community and rich cultural heritage. Finally, the program will end in Milan, the center of business and design in Italy.
The overall goal of the program is to help students understand the history and current state of public relations in contemporary society. This program will define the role of public relations in economic, cultural and social systems, and help students see current trends between the field and numerous contemporary issues.
The qualified candidate will possess a bachelor's degree in advertising, public relations or a related field. The candidate should be familiar navigating in these cities and be comfortable with living and working abroad. The successful candidate should have previous teaching experience in advertising and/or public relations.
Position is planned to recur every Summer Semester
