The Department of Microbiology and Molecular Genetics is seeking a Research Associate (Post-Doc) to work in the laboratory of Dr. Kefei Yu. We are seeking highly motivated researchers to carry out NIH-funded projects that study the mechanisms governing immunoglobulin gene diversification processes, maturation of broad neutralization antibodies against viral infection, and DNA repair mechanisms associated genetic rearrangements in lymphocytes. A combination of approaches, including biochemistry, cell biology and animal models will be utilized.
This is a full-time, 12-month fixed-term position that will begin in October of 2018, with reappointment contingent on satisfactory performance and available funding.

The applicant must have a Ph.D. in the area of microbiology; biochemistry; molecular biology or a related field.
Expertise in protein chemistry, molecular biology and mouse models are preferred, but not required.
